Went and looked at a Ford Escape, it had a low price which worried me some but I thought it was still worth a look. First guy we talked to was nice. We noticed an oil leak before ever driving it. We took it for a drive, motor sounded fine and it drove fine. I took it to ford and paid $100 for them to run a diagnostic and to check everything out on the vehicle. The results were surprising.

I have serviced my vehicles at Ford for years and they always done me good. The report came back with not one but two different leaks, one was a minor leak, the other leak was major repair. On top of that it needed additional work done to the front end and this being a AWD vehicle was also a major repair. The A/C did not work either, and was not 100% diagnosed as to the problem. All in all the repairs were going to be about $5,000 more than the vehicle itself.

At this point I’m ready to walk away from this vehicle, feeling like I did my due diligence and saved a lot of money by not buying this vehicle.

We return the vehicle and inform salesman #2 of the oil leak only, after all that’s my diagnostic report not there’s. We told him we were looking for a vehicle for our son and we would really have to think about this one before buying it. The salesman #2 got a bad attitude and kept saying it’s not his problem, and messing around with stuff on his desk instead of paying attention to the conversation. He did not care about anything we had to say.

We walked away and will never go back there again, hopefully those of you that read this will do the same thing and save yourself the hassle of dealing with these people.

I was deciding between two cars. the other car legitimately had no issues and I was told the Prius I bought here had no issues.

all they did was cover up the check engine light. came back up with it and they said they would fix it. blah blah blah.

I would have paid an extra $1000-2000 to have a car with no issues. I have a son I need to drive around in it.

they took my car for two days, acted like they fixed it and got it back and boom check engine light on again.

I don’t care to pay for a car that has issues but I would like to know and have them be honest.

I would have went with the other car with no existing issues.
