I went here last year because I was looking for a car and he had a 2003 Buick Lasabre with 70,000 miles and appeared to be in great condition.

I went there and I drove it around for awhile, it seemed to work fine except there was rust on the underside. I told him I had to think about it and he told me he was going out of town soon (probably a lie to get me to buy faster). He also rushed me to get the title taken care of soon as possible.

Two weeks after I bought it, the car started to shut off when it was idling. I went to get it looked at it and I was told that the temperature sensor was sending a signal that the car was overheating and it was shutting it off, so I got it fixed because I was already at the mechanic. I called Dennis about it and he said he wouldn’t pay for it, his excuse being that he could have done it himself, to which I replied, at least pay for the parts. He told me he’d think about it and call me back. He called me back and said he wouldn’t pay for the parts because I bought the car as is (whoa, talk about CHEAP).

In driving it after I bought it, I found out that the gas gauge would shoot it up to full when it neared empty, the check engine light would come on and that the front driver side speaker was crapping out. The horn also stopped working shortly after I bought it.

So basically the car was good enough shape to seem great during a test drive but then start falling apart within a month. He was selling it for under 1,000 below the blue book value, he said it was because of the rust on the underside but it was probably because the car was actually a piece of garbage and in the end it was a waste of money.
