      I just bought a car from Mike today and my experience was nothing like the typical used car salesman drama. He was very honest about the condition of the car and offered a generous price.       Initially, our experience was pretty good. We bought a solid car for a good price. But then things went to hell in a handbasket. We’ve waited so long for the registration and tags that the temporary registration is expired. And now we have a car that we paid good money for that we can’t drive. We got a million excuses — the auction house didn’t clear the title, the DMV can’t clear the title due to an unpaid parking ticket, “I can give you the registration lady’s number and she’ll tell you.” We’re so frustrated, and every time we ask about the status, we get the runaround. Save your sanity and avoid this seller at all cost.

      I cannot say enough good things about Mike, the owner. I have purchased a great deal of both new and used vehicles in the last 15 years, and our car-buying experience yesterday was hands-down the best we have had to date. He is so honest and friendly, and goes above and beyond to accommodate. We truly consider him a friend now. 🙂 We will be purchasing our next vehicle through him, as well as referring anyone who asks!

      Hopefully my experience has been an exception. Mike is friendly, gives excellent customer service, and is very knowledgeable about cars.

      However, 6 weeks after buying my car I found out the clutch and transmission needed to be replaced. Two mechanics said it looked like it had been raced or driven aggressively for much longer than I had owned it.

      Mike verbally offered to have his other shop replace my transmission for a fraction of the price two other shops quoted me. However, when I called his shop, the mechanic couldn’t tell me anything about the job, cost, or the condition of this replacement transmission.

      When I first looked at the car, I asked specific questions about what maintenance it would need. I was told only that the tires were at about 50% wear and the piece that makes the hatchback stay open was broken.

      In the 3 months I had the car, I had to replace the radiator, front brake rotors, battery, clutch, and transmission. I can’t help but feel like the car was fixed up just enough to seem fine at first, but within 2 weeks it was problem after problem. When the engine power started cutting I just traded it towards a car with a warranty at Toyota of Orange.
